Captain
Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) has found a new gig behind the cameras.
The actress has been tapped to provide her voice for a character in the new animated feature Conan: Red Nails, which will tell the story of Conan the Barbarian. The movie is expected to hit theatres next year by New Line Home Entertainment, and will also feature the voices of Ron Perlman (as Conan) and Mark Hamill.
"Being the first full-length animated movie about Conan, we see this as being a critical production in our quest to bring the barbarian to new audiences," said Fredrik Malmberg of Paradox Entertainment. "With an exciting script, beautiful animation and a stellar cast, we look forward to its release with tremendous anticipation."
Helgenberger also went through quite a runway scare recently. The actress was on a plane going from Dallas to Omaha when the plane's two tires blew as it was about to take off. Helgenberger revealed she was more pissed off than scared when she thought she would be late for her weekend poker event, which she and husband Alan Rosenberg organized to raise money for cancer research. However, the actress boarded another plane 15 minutes later and arrived in Omaha just in time. There were no injuries reported.
