Actors from the <I>CSI</I> franchise get recognized.<p><I>CSI: New York</I>'s <font color=yellow>Hill Harper</font> (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) won the "Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series" award at last year's <A class="link" HREF="http://www.naacpimageawards.net/40/index.php">National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards</a>. This year, the actor is on the list again in the same category. Harper is also nominated in the "Outstanding Literary Work – Youth/Teens" category for his second book, <I>Letters to a Young Sister: DeFINE Your Destiny</I>.<p>Joining Harper among the nominees is the newest addition to <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I>, <font color=yellow>Laurence Fishburne</font> (Dr Raymond Langston). Fishburne is in the category for "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series". Fishburne has been nominated for the NAACP Image Awards multiple times, and he has taken home three awards (two in 1996 and one in 1998).<p>Other CBS actors nominated for awards include <font color=yellow>Blair Underwood</font> and <font color=yellow>Wanda Sykes</font> from the comedy series <I>The New Adventures of Old Christine</I>. <I>The Unit</I> is nominated in the "Outstanding Drama Series" category. One of that show's stars, <font color=yellow>Dennis Haysbert</font>, is nominated alongside Harper as an "Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series".
