CBS is helping children who are victims of abuse and neglect.

On CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Gil Grissom (<font color=yellow>William Petersen</font>) built a scale model of his own office during his study of the elusive miniature serial killer. The model was shown during the seventh season finale, "Living Doll". Now that the season is over and the miniature killer storyline is drawing to a close, CBS is using the tiny office to help some children in need.

The National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association is a nonprofit organization that helps abused and neglected children in foster care situations. There are more than 900 local CASA offices across the country. Last year, approximately 58,000 volunteers were able to help more than 220,000 children find families. However, the organization wants to extend their assistance to the more than half a million children who are still stuck in the foster care system. CBS Cares has paired with National CASA to give these children hope.

The scale model of Grissom's office will be put up for auction on eBay with all proceeds going to the National CASA. The miniature is valued at approximately $25,000 and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The bidding will run from September 27 (the date of the CSI season premiere) until October 7.

Please see this page for more information or to prequalify for bidding on the miniature. Visit the National CASA site or CBS Cares to find out how you can help abused and neglected children who are in the foster care system.<center></center>
