I am giving it a B+. It would have gotten an A from me if there were not so many crucial eps (200th and Season finale) so Ray centered. Overall the episodes have been good and enjoyable most of the season with the exception of the two I just mentioned and maybe a couple of others.

B-. I decided to change my grade. Cause I did like several of the first half episodes. And some in the later half. But, I was so disappointed with the 200th ep. :(

I'd give the first half of the season (from For Warrick to One To Go) a C.
I'd give the second half of the season (from The Grave Shift to All In) a B+. I didn't quite give the second half an A, because there were still 'clunkers' like Mascara.

B+ from me. I haven't watched the finale yet, but I don't really care. Even if the finale was weak, to me it doesn't change the fact that season 9 in general was a huge improvement from seasons 6-8. With perhaps one or two exceptions, I really liked the second half more than the first half, especially the three episodes before the finale. :)

Up to Turn Turn Turn I would have given it a B then came Mascara and I was like, what the heck? I feel I am being kind with a C-.

^ Sorry you felt that way. I just happen to be one of those who enjoyed the latter part of the season and didn't care much for some of the episodes some other people liked. If I Had A Hammer... is absolutely my favorite episode of the season. What can I say...it's got a nice plot, great guest star (Henry Thomas), team work, FORENSICS, and lots of Catherine. :)

I give it a C.

And I feel generous with that. Turn, Turn, Turn and For Warrick were excellent episodes. I liked No Way Out and The Grave Shift enough, but other than that I found most episodes rather unmemorable. So unmemorable in fact that I'm having trouble remembering more than episode titles from the last few weeks. :(

C+ from me. First half of the season gets a B+; but after OTG, Turn, Turn, Turn was the only good one for me.

I gave it a B. I was very disappointed with the Ray show in the 200th episode and the fact now that he also seems to be trying to the shift. There were some excellent episodes though. Turn, Turn, Turn, One to Go, and For Warrick just to name some.

The first half of the series was top notch. Loved 'Leave Out All The Rest,' and 'One to Go.' Enjoyed Langston's first couple of episodes. Then it got poorer. 'Mascara' should have been a show piece 200th Episode, and started well, then collapsed DOA by the end of it. 'A Space Oddity' was the only part of the second half of the series I can honestly say was brilliant. God Bless Hodges and Wendy for saving the series right there, right then!

A- for first half
C for second half
U for Mascara (that's a proper FAIL in the UK!!)
A* for Space Oddity.

And that is the vote of this UK jury!

B- It was an okay season. The first half following 'For Warrick' felt like it was only a build up to Grissom leaving. The second half had potential, but it wasn't utilized. I like Riley. I feel there is much they can do with the character. The same goes for Catherine, Nick and Greg in there new roles. A lot of potential but underutilized.

They tried to do too much with Ray. I felt they were trying to make him appeal to everyone. They gave him a wise/sage side like Grissom while also giving him a motorcycle to attract the Nick/Warrick crowd.

There were some really stellar episodes here. My personal favorites were:

For Warrick
19 Down
One to Go
Turn, Turn, Turn
No Way Out
A Space Oddity
If I Had A Hammer...

Personal clunkers:

The Happy Place
Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda
Deep Fried and Minty Fresh
Mascara

Overall it was a good season I guess, some episodes were better than the other. It really focused too much on Langston though, the screentime needed to be more evenly distributed, and also it lacked good storylines involving the other characters. I'd give it a B.
