Sounds more like a fan fic to me. Are you sure it wasn't a story you read? "Let the Seller Beware" was an open house story, but not where a whole family was murdered and it certainly didn't affect Nick in that way. A whole family was murdered in "Blood Drops" and that's the one where Nick hit the wall in rage, but again...not much more than that.
Are you referring to the episode where the killer hid up in the ceiling and descended to kill the family? I believe that killer also ended up targeting Nick.
That was "Stalker", but he killed one girl, not a whole family, before targeting Nick. I still think it might be a fan fic.

Thanks for the replies. I did see "Stalker." Maybe I'm mixing that up with another episode, or even another show all together. Time to up my meds!
