Gary Sinise in OPEN SEASON

Having a young brother and cousin, I get to see movies that society would otherwise frown upon me seeing alone...or you know, just point and laugh. I took them to go see it two weekends ago and it was fanfreakingtastic. I said it in the other thread on Gary that he really never ceases to amaze me with his ability and talent. I went into the movie thinking that he'd be this little character we'd hear from once but he's really a main character. The guy he plays, Shaw, is a little out there. He lives in the woods and has really messed up teeth and growls a lot. He's got a gun named Lorraine and he sings to it. I don't want to give too much away, so I'll just say he's just a really fun character and Gary did an awesome job bringing him to life. It's definitely one to see when it comes to video.

I went two weeks ago with my friend and her two young sons to see it. I didn't even know Gary Sinise was in it, until his charatcer started to talk. It took us about 15 minutes before we figured it out. The movie was funny. We laughed more than the kids did. Everytime Shaw (Gary's character) came on the screen, the little boy beside me would cry, he did a great job playing the 'bad guy'. I loved it, and recommend it to everyone!

I wanted to see it, but my mother loves my sister more than she loves me so instead, we had to see The Wicker Man, which is creepy beyond belief. I still have nightmares. But, we did review it in our school newspaper and from what I've heard, it must be pretty good. When I saw my friend's review and saw him review Gary's character, I was like "Oh my gosh, that's Gary Sinise's character!" and then he said "You really are obsessed" and I was like "Heck yes!".

PS- MacsGirlMel, I really like your banner/signature thingy!

pretty in pink, go to the Slim Macky and the Taylor Girls thread. You can get your own copy of the banner there :)

Oh snap I didn't know his voice was in it! I gotta go watch now. My friend said he loved the movie and he's 22 years old. OK, gotta make time.

I saw "Open Season" on the day it came out with my friend Liz, mostly because "Little Miss Sunshine" had left the theater that day and we didn't know what else to see. Mind, Liz and I are 17 years old. We saw it of our own free will and I think we both laughed more than the little kids in there. That movie was amazing.

Shaw kind of scared me but he was a great character. Gary Sinise really brought him to life.

I love how Gary really seems to enjoy playing the sinister or outright nasty characters, he has a sort of evil glee when he's a badass. And I'm sure he'd be darn proud to know that he made kids cry during his nasty hunter scenes! :D

One kid in the theater with me did cry! I felt really bad because his mom was taking him out of the theater and he was saying something about the bad hunter being "weally scwary".

I just saw it.

Man, Gary is just awesome. He was effin hilarious. He was so OTT he was just nuts. Gotta love a man who just lets it all go. I hope when they release the DVDs they have a lot of Gary extras. I would have wanted see him go at it, heheh.

Still, my favorite line would be the antler's "Look at me! I'm too pretty to die!"

And I love their whole chase in the rushing water. "It's like hunting and fishing at the same time!" :D
