It was love at first sight.<p>Former <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I> star <font color=yellow>Jorja Fox</font> felt drawn to the character of Sara Sidle from the first time she read a script. "Probably five pages in, I fell into a trance, knew I had to go meet everybody, and that if I was lucky enough that they were going to cast me I was going to have to take the job," Fox explained to the official <A class="link" HREF="http://www.titanmagazines.com/app?service=external/Product&sp=l1075">CSI Magazine</a>. "It was this magnetic pull and I couldn't stop it anymore."<p>The initial description for the character mentioned that she would be a love interest for Gil Grissom (<font color=yellow>William Petersen</font>), but that didn't play out for six years. "There had been this weird dance that had played out over a couple of seasons that had really led nowhere it seemed. For Billy and I as actors, coming into season one, because it was on the page, we started the show playing it," Fox explained. "It was the producers' decision to pull back on it." The reason, she explained, was so that it didn't get played out too soon. "For me, there is a wonderful feeling that viewers still want to know more about those characters," she said.<p>Fox felt the way their relationship was revealed in the sixth season finale was a great scene for Grissom's character. "The show is so dark and the characters are so driven, they all seem slightly alienated and lonely by nature of what they do," she said. "To know there is this little light burning somewhere in their lives was amazing payback and what Sara and Grissom really deserve."<p>Despite the relationship between Sara and Grissom, Fox did not rule out the possibility of something between Sara and Greg Sanders (<font color=yellow>Eric Szmanda</font>). "Greg is Sara's best friend outside of Grissom but he was probably too young for her," Fox explained. "I think she saw him much more as a little brother or friend." If given enough time, Fox said things could change. "Many, many moons later, if things really fell apart between Grissom and Sara, I do wonder if there would be a time for Greg and Sara. I think Greg is completely over Sara but she still holds a certain torch for him."<p>Fox also discussed the fan support she received when it was revealed that Sara could be the Miniature Killer's next victim. "It is amazing to me that after seven years, people would still be invested enough to take the time to actually write those letters or send those emails," she said. "It is almost intangibly flattering. It is hard to communicate how flattering that is. If you don't mind printing just a huge 'Thank you' and 'I love you' to the people who have been kind enough to check out what I am doing--I am sure it is the reason I am still doing it."<p>When asked what she would cherish the most about her time on <I>CSI</I>, Fox had an easy answer. "It would have to be the people I've gotten to work with," she explained, "the seven years of William Petersen, Eric Szmanda, <font color=yellow>George Eads</font> (Nick Stokes), <font color=yellow>Gary</font> [<font color=yellow>Dourdan</font> (Warrick Brown)], <font color=yellow>Marg</font> [<font color=yellow>Helgenberger</font> (Catherine Willows)], <font color=yellow>David Hall</font> (Dr Al Robbins), <font color=yellow>Paul</font> [<font color=yellow>Guilfoyle</font> (Jim Brass)] and <font color=yellow>Wally</font> [<font color=yellow>Langham</font> (David Hodges)]." Fox said she never could have imagined working with the actors and the writers for such a long period of time and developing strong relationships with them. "That is the thing I will cherish the most," she said.
