One star uses her celebrity to stop animal abuse.<p><I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I> star <font color=yellow>Jorja Fox</font> (Sara Sidle) is currently working with <A class="link" HREF="http://www.ad-international.org/home/">Animal Defenders International (ADI)</a>. The non-profit organization is promoting a campaign called "Stop Circus Suffering". They are working to urge Texas to ban circuses with animal performers, and they have presented the Austin City Council with their evidence of animal cruelty.<p>"We sent Jorja an advance copy of our DVD and report and told her what was happening to the animals. She was really concerned. It really moved her, and she said she wanted to do whatever she could to help," ADI President <font color=yellow>Jan Creamer</font> told <A class="link" HREF="http://www.allheadlinenews.com/content-services/celebritynews/">Celebrity News Service</a>. "She's a very compassionate person. What we really appreciate about her is that she is using her celebrity for good causes."<p>"These animals are majestic, wild, large mammals," Fox told the <A class="link" HREF="http://www.statesman.com/">American-Statesman</a>. "They're some of the great beasts of the world." i'm SO with Jorja on this, i absolutely hate when animals perform in circus. i agree that it's something that should not be happening today.
 
Ahh its good to see that a star is actuarly doing some good with her fandom? Thats the right word right?

I really hate when animals are forced to perform in any kind of shows, not only in circuses so it's great to hear that Jorja is involved in banning or at least limiting animal abuse. I hope this organization will be successful in what they're trying to achieve :thumbsup:
 
It's definitely great that she takes the time to use her celebrity to bring more attention to stuff like this. :)
