CSI Files
Captain
CSI actress Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) told a Playboy Magazine interviewer that being on the series has made her more life-affirming, though she has less of a stomach than her co-stars for "the grossest cases" on the show, according to a repost of the interview on her web site.
Marg Helgenberger "is one of the strongest and toughest women I've ever met," the actress said, noting that Helgenberger could internalize her disgust when working with carcasses, whereas George Eads "was trying not to get sick" and Fox "was screaming at the writers" over an episode shot at a "disgusting" landfill where they shot on location. She added that she has trouble eating at work when they film anything nausea-inducing on the show.
Her squeamishness did not stop her from having fun with "a remote-controlled farting device" that she used to humiliate William Petersen, however. "That fart machine entertained us for an entire afternoon", she said, adding that Helgenberger was unfazed by this prank as well.
Asked about her ideal work environment, Fox noted that being cast on a hypothetical CSI: Hawaii and said that she hoped CSI: Miami star David Caruso would do an episode of the Las Vegas CSI, "especially if he works with the ladies."
Fox admitted that some episodes give her nightmares, stating that "there is something much creepier about people who are seemingly normal but can act like serial killers." Still, she notes that the show has made her less prone to anxiety in her daily life:

It's left me believing that if it's your day, it's your day. I'm not stupid about my own safety, but I'd never want to be paranoid either. Death is very close to life. It's always hovering closer than we'd like to think. But it doesn't scare me.

You can learn more about Fox, including her "allergy" to marriage and her ability to play "Stairway To Heaven" on guitar, at her official site here.
