CSI: Crime Scene Investigations drew more viewers last week than it did the previous week, but Fox's NFC Championship game came out on top in last week's ratings.
According to SFGate, CSI's new episode "Butterflied" came in number two overall for the week of January 12th-18th, with a total of 28.7 million viewers. The Fox NFC Championship game, Carolina vs. Philadelphia, took first place by a large margin, drawing in 40.4 million viewers. Friends claimed the third place slot with about 26.7 million viewers, followed by ER in 4th place with 21.6 million.
"Butterflied" outperformed last week's episode "Eleven Angry Jurors" by almost a million viewers. "Eleven Angry Jurors" drew 27.5 million the week before last, and took the top spot for the week of January 5-11 (story).
CSI: Miami stayed stable at number six. Last week's "Witness to Murder" drew 19.7 million viewers, which was down slightly from the previous week's draw of 20.4 million. Just ahead of CSI: Miami was The Apprentice, the new Donald Trump reality show, which pulled in 20.2 million viewers.
Three other CBS shows placed in the top ten as well: Everybody Loves Raymond came in at number 7, Two and a Half Men took the number 9 slot, and Without a Trace landed at number 10. The eighth slot was filled by the NFC Postgame Show on Fox.
