First Peek At 'CSI: Miami''s Season Finale

CSI Files

Captain
A young couple, Gina Lamar and Kyle Preston are making out in a park by Biscayne Bay. Kyle wants to go all the way, but Gina stops him when she hears a cell phone ring. It's not hers. She spots a cell phone lying in the grass--right next to the body of a young woman in "We Never Close."

CSI Files sources revealed details from the final episode of CSI: Miami's second season. When Horatio arrives on the scene, he's surprised to see quite a few officers have turned up. His surprise turns to disgust when he sees officers photographing the body. They identify her as Ashley Anders, a young woman who has starred in several adult films. Horatio takes Ashley's phone, hoping to find clues from her phonebook.

When Delko finds twenty dollars in cash on Ashley, the CSIs are able to rule out robbery as a motive. Given that Ashley is fully clothed, rape seems unlikely as well. Speedle finds something in her hair and takes it for analysis. Alexx examines her body and notes that she was strangled. But she also notices the marks on Ashley's neck are odd--there are only nine finger marks, instead of ten.

Valera gets a skin sample from under Ashley's nails and identifies the cells as coming from David Jeffers, a pornography mogul. Jeffers was in the system because of a statutory rape charge from when he was in college. Valera notes that the rape happened in the same place where Ashley's body was found: Biscayne park.

When Calleigh and Yelina go to Jeffer's office to question him, they are met by his attorney Marc Snowden. When they present him with their search warrant, Snowden starts to protest, but Jeffers enters the room and stops him. Jeffers denies knowing Ashley, but falls silent when Calleigh tells him his DNA was found under her nails. Yelina escorts the men out while Calleigh searches the office. She hits the jackpot when she finds an old fashioned answering machine that recorded an argument during which David orders Mark to "take care" of the situation with Ashley.

Horatio questions the two men, and Jeffers admits to having Ashley over at his house for a party the night she was killed. Jeffers claims he argued with Ashley when she wanted to leave, and that was when she scratched him. Horatio reluctantly lets him go, but tells him not to leave Miami.

Valera makes a creepy discovery when she finds that a semen sample on a piece of fan mail matches one found on Ashley Anders' bed...

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from an early draft of the script and details may change before the episode goes to air.

"We Never Close" will most likely air in May of 2004.

What happened to "Officer down"? I'm wondering if they changed the season finale of Miami so that it doesn't parallel Vegas?

Hopefully somebody will still get shot! MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Erm...Anyway, wonder why they changed it? I guess it might show next season or something, but I wonder why they didn't go with it in the first place.
