CSI Files
Captain
Snow-boarding. Windsurfing. Riding roller coasters. Things of the past. Watch out for the latest extreme sport in an upcoming CSI: Miami episode: extreme kidnapping!
Sources today revealed the first plot details for the tenth episode of Miami's second season, entitled "Extreme". The victim of the week is reportedly Nikki Wilcox, a twenty-something daddy's girl with plenty of cash to throw around. In fact, she's so rich that she's done absolutely everything and then some. When the nights out on the town hyped up on speed don't cut it anymore, Nikki decides to arrange her own kidnapping for the ultimate rush (plus some hot, raunchy "rescue sex" with her boyfriend for dessert).
Speaking of Nikki's boyfriend, the kidnapping was actually his present to her. With a cool twenty grand he hired the services of a professional kidnapping service, Gotcha. Its owner, Ron Weber, insists that the whole transaction was perfectly legal and Nikki was a willing participant. Her boyfriend, Tommy Chandler, was supposed to rescue her as part of the set-up.
The CSIs are on the case. Examining the kidnappers' fake hideout, they discover a chipped tooth which didn't belong to Nikki. A search on CODIS turns up Manny Ochoa, a criminal hired by Gotcha to play the role of a typical thug and enhance the realism of the scenario. Ochoa says he left the "hideout" to pick up the "ransom" money, passing the buck to his partner and Gotcha employee, Jack.
But the thugs aren't the only lead to be followed up. Nikki's father, a 70-year-old millionaire way past his prime, recently married a buxom beauty in her twenties, and she and Nikki never got along. Bump off the daughter and bingo, she gets the millions when the old man snuffs it. That's the theory anyway.
So what is it, a case of a staged kidnapping gone badly wrong or a wicked stepmother trying to get rid of some excess baggage? It's up to the CSIs to find out. But it won't be easy, especially when Horatio has other matters on his mind after Eric Delko gets himself into a spot of trouble...
Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from an early draft of the script and details may change before the episode goes to air.
"Extreme" will likely air in late 2003.
