Settings: Miami FL, it's based on season 1&2's characters, so it's like season 3, and 4 didn't happen, and I kinda wish they didn't happen lol

Chapter one: Charity Run
Heavy breathing, heart rate escalated, arms pumping, long golden blonde hair down her back; Calleigh Duquesne was running. She wasn’t running from anything, in fact, she was quite happy with her life. She had a husband, two kids, and nice house. Her job was the best she could imagine, she’d always wanted to work around guns. She didn’t lack in the looks and personality department either. She had long, angelic blonde hair, emerald green eyes, high cheekbones, and a petite figure. Calleigh’s life was close to perfect.
With 3 Doors Down’s “Kryptonite” pulsating through the headphone she was wearing, Calleigh took long strides. There were two people slightly behind her, and 4 or 5 in front of her. It was the last 200 yards. She was on the heels of 3 of those 5 people in front of her. She knew what was waiting for her at the finish line, that was her goal. She had been running a hard 5 miles, but she wanted to finish it strong. When she hit the last 200 yards, she broke into a full sprint. There were beads of sweat dripping down her face, and her legs felt like they were going to fall off, but she pushed herself anyway. She passed those 3 people, and the 4th person, and finished the five mile charity run in second place.
“Mommy!” she heard, about 30 feet in front of her. Calleigh’s oldest daughter, Casey came running to her, arms open. Calleigh was drenched in sweat, but she knew her daughter wouldn’t care much. Casey was 4 years old, and she was a very happy child.
Like her mother, she had green eyes and a blazing personality, she always had fun, no matter what she was doing. Also, like Calleigh, she was very stubborn, and Cal knew that she probably always would be. Whether it was cleaning her room or playing with dolls, she made the most out of it. Like her father, she had brown hair and thin lips. She was smart, like both of her parents, and she picked up everything easily. Calleigh guessed that was what you got when you put two CSI’s together.
Calleigh took her daugther in her arms, encircling her in a hug. “You did good mommy,” Casey said.
Cal smiled at her and nodded. “Yeah, I did sweetie,” she said lightly as she looked up to see her husband move forward. Yes, Calleigh’s life was very close to perfect. She didn’t want to change it in the least.
Chapter two: Cinderella
Calleigh had been the first woman to finish, and the second person overall. When she’d been given her little medal, she was asked for a picture. She got her family together and took her little baby Brianna in her arms, then smiled for the picture. She had stood next to her husband, who was holding Casey in his arms. That would be another picture to hang in her ballistics lab. No doubt she would see her name somewhere in the newspaper tomorrow. The Race for the Cure was the biggest race to take place in Miami, and Calleigh had been training for a while.
“Honey, are you ready?” Tim yelled from the car door, having already buckled Brianna and Casey into their respective car seats. Calleigh nodded and tore herself away from the group of people she’d been talking to, then jogged over the car.
“You just never stop do you?” Tim asked as he started the car.
“What can I say? I’m a very energetic person, you know, besides, I just ran a five mile race, I’m feeling pretty good right now.”
“Well that’s good, how long do you think that will last?” Tim asked, glancing over at her with a smirk as she headed home.
Calleigh turned her head and looked right back at him. “As long as you want it to,” she said as she turned to see Brianna sleeping, and Casey playing with one of her little dolls. They would be out like a light in a few hours, leaving Calleigh and Tim to do whatever they wanted.
“Did you talk to Horatio yet to see if we could get next week off?” she asked Tim as they made a right hand turn.
Tim nodded, keeping his eyes on the road. “Yeah, he said ‘don’t have too much fun’.”
Calleigh smirked. “So our trip is still on? Two weeks in Paris like you promised?” she asked him, knowing well that he had about five other places he’d rather go. Tim looked to her as he pulled up into the parking lot and stroked the back of her head with his right hand as he parked.
“Yes Calleigh, I promised you two weeks in France, and that’s what you are going to get, happy third anniversary honey,” he said lightly, with a smile, then leaned over and kissed her. Calleigh’s life couldn’t get any better right now. She was blessed with two little girls, a husband that loved her, and a wonderful job.
Tim got out of the car and went to the back, unbuckling a very playful Casey from her car seat. On the opposite side of the car, Calleigh lifted Brianna out of her car seat as well.
Little Brianna was only 3 months old, but she was the cutest little thing in the world. It was too early to tell what personality she would have, but she had Calleigh’s blond hair and her green eyes as well. She had Tim’s lips and chin, and she was very strong. She especially loved to pull on Calleigh’s earrings, which was why sometimes Cal wished Brianna wasn’t as strong as she was. Needless to say, Calleigh didn’t wear earrings anymore.
The married couple walked into their house, which was a very nice beach house that each of them had always wanted. When they got married, they’d finally had enough money to get it, with a little bit left over just incase of emergency. It overlooked the ocean, and had glass windows, which were half stained with handprints and saliva from the baby crawling over to it and getting curious. It had also had it’s fair share of artistic coloring from Casey that Calleigh had to wash off countless amounts of times.
The house was basically kid-proof. Nothing big and breakable was in sight, and there were toys spewed all over the floors of various rooms. Brianna and Casey were in two separate rooms, luckily when they’d bought the house, they’d expected to have two kids instead of just one. The house was beautiful, and Calleigh had spent a very long amount of time decorating it, it was perfect for her family and herself.
A little while later, Calleigh was showered off and had her flannel pajamas on like she usually had. Tim had settled Brianna into her crib, and had gotten Casey to get changed and brush her teeth. It was a few minutes after Calleigh had emerged from the room that the three of them settled down to watch a movie, which Tim and Cal knew Casey would eventually fall asleep to.
They let Casey choose, as always, but this time, Casey chose Cinderella. “It reminds me of you and daddy,” Casey said to her mom. Calleigh laughed a little and sat down next to Tim, who was settled on the couch already. Instinctively, Casey crawled into her father’s lap and laid down against him. Tim wrapped one arm around his daughter, while the other was around his wife.
Calleigh rested her head on his shoulder, and had the other arm around Casey as well. She watched the movie for about an hour, but after that, Casey had finally fallen asleep. Tim motioned to her that he was going to go put her in her bed, and Calleigh agreed. By the time Tim had tucked Casey in, Calleigh was at the doorframe. Tim looked up at her and smiled, then walked to the door and shut off the lights. Calleigh stayed where she was, just watching her daughter sleep. Tim came around her and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. “She’s a little angel,” Tim said lightly
“She’s our little angel,” Cal replied.
A few minutes later, Cal straightened up the house for what seemed like the millionth time that day, and then settled on the couch again. She found that Tim was still watching the movie. “Didn’t know you liked Disney movies,” Cal said with a laugh as she sat down next to him. Tim wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his lap instinctively.
“Well, like Casey said, it reminds me of us, you’re my Cinderella.”
“And you’re my Prince Charming,” Cal shot back, smiling.
That night, Calleigh and Tim had fallen asleep to the movie, just as Casey had. They’d both had a long day, as always, and were tiered out. Calleigh had work tomorrow, it was Tim’s turn to stay home. They’d asked Horatio if they could switch off days so they could take care of their kids, and Horatio of course told them they could, no questions asked. Horatio was, of course, the kids’ godfather.
