A short teaser clip of the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation season finale made its way to the internet yesterday morning, and has been spreading like wildfire ever since.

The nearly two-minute long teaser first appeared on the Usenet internet discussion network. "I got hold of a teaser of the CSI (regular) Season Finale, which I found out will be directed by Quentin Tarantino," the accompanying post read. "Since it's not very long, and the airdate is so close, the production company said they did not mind, so enjoy!"

The teaser was described as a "rough cut," meaning that the final television version may still be edited in a slightly different way. The clip started with a brief shot of a clapper bearing Tarantino's name and the episode's production number (#523), and then moved on to a scene in which Gil Grissom watches a webcam image of Nick Stokes. As previously reported, "Grave Danger" will feature Nick Stokes being kidnapped and buried alive, while a webcam installed in his coffin shows his CSI colleagues exactly what he's going through. Below are four images from this scene, taken from the rough cut teaser:

In the scene, Nick is using the tape recorder buried with him to record a farewell message to his family and friends. "This is a lousy way to say goodbye, but it's all I got," Nick tells his family, with choking voice. "I love you. You'll miss me, right? And I'm gonna miss you." He then continues to thank his colleagues, who he's sure did their best to find him. Although the webcam is video-only, Grissom has been an excellent lip reader ever since his hearing problems first developed, and so is able to make out Nick's final message, "Grissom, I never meant to disappoint you." Moved, Grissom replies, "No, you never did, Nick."

It is not known how this video leaked out, or even if the original Usenet message was correct in saying the production company had no problems with it being posted on the internet. For that reason, we won't be including a link to the actual video in this news item. However, tune in to CBS next week at 8:00pm, and you'll be able to see this moving scene and many others in the two-hour CSI: Crime Scene Investigation season finale.

I CAN'T STAND THE TENSION!! I hope they're not going to kill off Nick Stokes. That would suck. :(

:DHi All,

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think anyone is going to get killed off, not at this point at least. Their contracts don't end until 2007, hopefully they'll stay on longer if the show's still a hit past 2007. I saw the interview that Mr. Tarantino gave on the Late Show With David Letterman. I was quite impressed with the young man. I became a fan because he said that his favorite character on TV is Gil Grissom, and he like William Petersen as well. The interview was great. BTW, Mr. Tarantino said that there will be no cliff-hanger, that there will be no mystery as to what happened, and that we should know how everything ends at the conclusion of the episode. Now, I don't know how true that is, I guess we'll see how true that is next week. ;)

God bless you all,

Sharon  ;)
