Find Out What Happens 'After The Fall'

CSI Files

Captain
Pedestrians are often killed by objects falling from a great height — bricks, roof tiles, ladders. But in an upcoming episode of CSI: Miami, a pedestrian will die when he is hit by a man falling from a nearby apartment building.

Sources today revealed the first plot details for the tenth episode of CSI: Miami's third season, currently entitled "After The Fall". The investigation of the death of the pedestrian, Michael Johnson, is complicated by the fact that the man who crushed him managed to survive the fall and escape the crime scene. But Horatio and Delko have one lead — paint found on the victim's body. The only apartment in the building that was being painted at the time belonged to Clark Mathis.

The CSIs pay him a visit. Delko discovers shoeprints on the balcony, leading Horatio to suspect that Mr. Mathis was being robbed by a cat burglar who absailed down the building into his apartment. Mr. Mathis is stunned at the suggestion that he could have been robbed, until he discovers that his great-grandmother's wedding ring, which he was going to give to his girlfriend when he proposed, has been stolen.

Horatio and Delko head up to the roof to see if the burglar left any traces of his activities. There they happen upon Doug Ramsey, who thinks the CSIs are there to bust him for smoking marijuana. In fact, they're far more interested in a carabiner — an interlocking brass ring used to secure ropes — they find in his pocket. Horatio promptly hauls Doug off for questioning at the police department, but he swears he found the carabiner on the roof and had nothing to do with the burglary.

Soon afterwards, Yelina gets a call from the Winchester Auction House, telling her that a man has tried to sell them a ring matching the description of the one stolen from Clark Mathis' apartment. When Delko and Ryan head over to apprehend the thief, who should they find there but Clark Mathis himself...

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details and the airing order of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.

"After The Fall" will likely air in late 2004 or early 2005.

agreed, and top it off the dude that crushes you to death not only survives, but takes off and is a major suspect.
Bet the dude he killed by landing on him wishes he had walked faster or slower.
Sounds like a good ep either way.
