Fans Say Thank You

CSI Files

Captain
Fans show Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) their gratitude.

After it was announced that Fox would be leaving CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, fans from around the world joined together to show their support. Once Fox was finished filming CSI for the last time, the excess money raised by the Jorja Fox Appreciation Campaign was donated to charity. The campaign is now over, and a new campaign is being started: Thanking Jorja.

Posted at Jorja Fox Online (JFO), "Thanking Jorja" is a letter-writing campaign of a different sort. Rather than sending messages to CBS about Fox leaving CSI, now the emphasis is on thanking her for a job well done. According to JFO, "there are 40,000 people who come to this site a month, and YOU deserve to say thank you as well. This site wouldn’t be what it is without you, so the thank-you is as much to you as it is to Jorja."

The project invites fans to send stories and photos to be included in a scrapbook for the actress: "To do this, I will take letters, be it snail-mail or email, that tell a story about you and Jorja. How did you first learn about Jorja Fox? When did you become a pink-mohawk sporting fangirl? Did Jorja’s activism make you rethink your own life choices? What was your favorite episode or movie she was in, and why?" Submissions will be accepted until December 22.
