Fan Video's & Board Updates! *Updated*

Recently the admins have decided that Fan Video's will no longer be allowed to be posted any where on the TalkCSI Site, this includes links to them, under any circumstances, including the fair use act protection.

There are copywrite issues regarding the use of clips from eps, and there is also the music issues as well, this is to be considered a General Rule just like the all the other rules of TalkCSI. This does not affect any of the pictures or screen caps, this is strictly again regarding "Fan Video's".

We would also like to remind you of the "Intellectual Property" rule in which it states that you can not discuss, request or link to any material that is downloadable, unless you can prove it to be legally purchased.

If you haven't heard, recently the board went though and update and in that update were the following.

You no longer need 100 posts to:
Private Message (PM) a member or a moderator.
Wait for your post count to change in MISC (but beware of spamming).

You DO need 100 posts:
To have and Avatar

Emails in Profiles:
Emails are not longer displayed in the profiles, safes on the spamming of peoples mail box.

Banner Reminders
Please keep the size to the max limit 220 Wide by 75 High
You have the option of either "Banner" or "Text" NOT Both.

Edit Time:
The Edit time is now up to 24 hrs, to edit you posts please remember this, hopefully it will stop double posting.

This is not the "Help/Information" Thread that is being voted on, but rather and update of what you should know.
I recommend seeing the "Announcements" Section above which will tell you about the updates and if you have questions regarding them please feel free to check out the QSF forum, or post the question.

Regarding Signatures: If You Want To Keep Them!
The idea of losing signatures is not something anyone who has them really wants to think about, but the possiblity of it happening is very real unless we start making sure they are as aked to be, not to mention the fact that it really shouldn't be necessary for us as mods to serve reminders reguarding this.

Signatures are a privilage given to you all, so you have a place to put in either your favorite quote, or one of your favorite banners, but with this come rules, but if they are not followed those same privilages can be taken away just as fast.

TallyHo & Myself have been repeatedly through alot of threads asking that signatures be adapted to the rules given, be it a single person, or a general to all members who have signatures and use them, to the point we feel and sound like a broken record.

We know you guys love your banners and or sayings in your signatures but we need you to work with us, otherwise everyone loses and that would truely be a shame, Alot of you have already adapted as asked and some without being asked, and we thank you for that, so those still not doing so, of didn't know until now, then please adapt accordingly.

Granted we do give a small amount of leeway regarding the banner size (As we know it is hard to be exact at times) but please keep it as close to the size listed as possible or under, please again remember the "powers that be" decided to allow you all to have these signatures, but if they feel that the rules are not being followed, or the privilage is being abused in anyway, they can revoke it just as fast.

We may occassionally post a reminder in a thread just to keep it fresh but please, it would be great if you all could make the changes if you still have to, and if you see someone new who is still learning the rules let them kindly know the link to this thread reguarding signature rules.

The Administrators of this Board, have made the following decision regarding banner sizes and signatures:
"Note: Due to things getting a bit cluttered, I'm going to ask that either you have a banner (with the dimensions no more than 220 in width, 75 in height) OR you have a text signature, but NOT both."

Please note the reason we post the above suggestion in many threads is so that we are sure to get your attention, we are not trying to do anything more.
We appreciate the help you all have been giving by adapting your sigs so fast.

To find out all you do is Right click your banner, go down and click properties, and you can see that size, the 220 is your width, 75 is the height. If it is bigger then these numbers then it needs to be corrected.
