I am sure some of you have already seen or at least heard about "Fame", the 1980 movie by Alan Parker starring Irene Cara, Gene Anthony Ray, Debbie Allen, Lee Curreri, Albert Hague, Maurren Teefy, Laura Dean...Or maybe the series started in 1982, based on the movie, starring Erica Gimpel, Valerie Landsburg, Carlo Imperato, and also, Gene A. Ray, Lee Currery, Debbie Allen...
I was born some years after those, but just had the opportunity to watch the first season of the series this summer and loved it!
I also watched the movie. It was cool to see how things were different back then, and how they were good, anyway (IMO, of course). I am not sure if the series is airing in lots of places, but it does in Canada, on Much More Music and in Portugal and Spain on People+Arts. I also know the DVD series from the 1st season was released a while ago in the USA, and it is going to be released now in Italy and Sweden.
So, anyone wants to comment? Any thoughts about "Fame"?
