Eric Szmanda's new telefilm, Small Wonder, will premiere this Sunday on CBS.

Based on the short story by Connie Willis, this holiday movie follows the lives of five people who are affected by a sudden snow storm. Szmanda plays Luke, a young man who is trapped inside his tiny apartment with his crazy Aunt Lula (Mary Tyler Moore) and is amazed when she reveals the secret romances she had with some famous actors.

Critic Brian Lowry, from Variety, found the movie predictable but blessed with a good cast. "In a peculiar sense, Snow Wonder is so derivative that the audience can actually fill in the narrative gaps -- fleshing out the stories Frankenstein-like from pieces of other movies," he said but also added, "Not all of the disconnected stories deliver the heartwarming goods, but pic flits between them amiably enough, and the oversized cast allows multiple performers to parachute in for what must have been a few days' work."

The holiday movie premieres this Sunday at 9/8c on CBS, and also stars Camryn Manheim, Poppy Montgomery (Without A Trace), Jennifer Esposito, and Jason Priestley.
