CSI: Crime Scene Investigation failed to take home any gongs at Sunday night's 55th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
CSI was up for Outstanding Drama Series for the second year in a row, but voters chose to return The West Wing to office for its fourth consecutive term, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The other nominees were The Sopranos, Six Feet Under and 24.
<font color=yellow>Marg Helgenberger</font> (Catherine Willows) also went home empty-handed, after the Emmy for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series went to The Sopranos' <font color=yellow>Edie Falco</font>, who was the hot favourite to nab the gong. Falco also took home the Emmy last time Helgenberger was nominated for CSI in 2001.
Although it didn't win Outstanding Series, The Sopranos led the drama field with four Emmys, followed by The West Wing's two. Everybody Loves Raymond was the big winner on the comedy side, scoring four gongs, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
