The new girl gets the go-ahead.<p><font color=yellow>Megalyn Echikunwoke</font> (Dr Tara Price) replaced Dr Alexx Woods (<font color=yellow>Khandi Alexander</font>) as <I>CSI: Miami</I>'s resident coroner. The character started out recurring, but she was moved to series regular after a few episodes. The initial episodes were a sort of trial period for the character, Echikunwoke said. Because the show was well-established, with a "solid and vast fanbase", the actress told <A class="link" HREF="http://www.tvguide.com/">TV Guide</a>, "I think that you sort of have to make sure that the new character is okay with everybody."<p>Dr Price passed the test to become a series regular, but Echikunwoke doesn't know about any specific plans for her character. "I wish I did," she said. "I know that there are lots of ideas about expanding the character in different ways and maybe [add] some romance somewhere." The big question regarding romance for her character is whether Dr Price might have a relationship with Eric Delko (<font color=yellow>Adam Rodriguez</font>)--despite his feelings for Calleigh Duquesne (<font color=yellow>Emily Procter</font>). "It might happen," Echikunwoke revealed. "I think they might have eyes for each other."<p>The actress enjoys working on the show. "I'm having a lot of fun," she said. "It's really fun to be playing this kind of character.
