CSI Files
Captain
The CSI: Crime Scene Investigation team will take on three heat-related cases in season four's "Feeling The Heat".
The episode will revolve around Joshua Winston, a six-month old baby boy, who is found dead after being left in his father's car on a particularly hot day, sources told CSI Files. Joshua's father, Paul Winston, was looking after him while his wife, Laura, was in Las Angeles on business. He says he simply forgot the baby was in the car when he left it in the parking lot.
Catherine asks to run the case solo, but faces pressure from Chief Deputy District Attorney Ethan Thacker, who is anxious to secure a conviction. Thacker is determined to make an example of Paul Winston, but Catherine refuses to make up her mind before she's had a chance to examine the evidence.
After leaving the baby investigation to Catherine, Grissom works with Warrick on a case involving a homemade swamp cooler. Meanwhile, Nick and Sara must find out how a teenage girl came to be found dead in Lake Mojave. The last person to see her alive seems to be a young man, Mark Young, who took her out on a wave runner on a perfect summer's day with the intent of getting lucky...
Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from an early draft of the script and details may change before the episode goes to air.
"Feeling The Heat" will likely air in October, 2003.
