CSIs Head 'Down The Drain'

CSI Files

Captain
Catherine and Warrick are less than thrilled to learn their newest crime scene is underground in the second episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's fifth season!

According to CSI Files sources, the CSIs initially think they have two bodies on their hands in "Down the Drain." After the first decomposed body is discovered, Warrick and Catherine find a floater under the freeway. They assume he's dead, until his eyes pop open and he informs them he's taking a bath.

Catherine shows the floater a polaroid photo of their victim's body, and he tells her he knew the guy as Nick, and that he used to bring food and presents for people. Catherine is skeptical. She and Warrick head down to the storm drain tunnel to try to figure out where the victim was killed. Catherine realizes he must have been swept down the sewer tunnels, so she and Warrick need to backtrack through the sewers to find where he was slain.

Back in the lab, Greg is witnessing his first autopsy. Dr. Robbins examines the body, but he's unable to determine for sure how the man died. He suspects drowning, but he isn't able to rule out blunt trauma without a closer look. Greg pales as Dr. Robbins prepares to saw into the victim's head.

Catherine is still tracing the body's course in the sewers. She startles a gambler waiting at a bus stop when she calls up from the sewers to find out what intersection she's at. He tells her she's at Industrial, south of Tropicana, and then adds that he won't hold the bus for her.

Warrick and Catherine seem to be facing an endless search, until they get a call from the Streets & Sanitation department. It seems some workers have discovered several small bones across town. The bones could belong to a small animal, or they could be human...

Please note that these plot details have not yet been confirmed by Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour from an unofficial source. The information comes from an early draft of the script and aspects of the episode may change before it goes to air.

"Down the Drain" will likely air in September 2004.

OOoooo, that sounds really good, I'll never turn down a chance to see Gary sweaty...*swoon*
:D

There might be another case going on here... but peterson had that heart problem, i wouldn't expect him to be. It isn't confirmed yet so i wouldn't know.

They usually have two cases in an episode. hopefully Grissom / Sara / Nick are involved in this episode.
and I cant wait to see Greg witness his first autopsy! :)

it will be totally priceless i cant wait til january....

still i cant believe i have broken my rules of no spoilers til JANUARY...i need to increase my resistance to spoilers..must not look at those again...ever..again... :(

I was thinking that maybe the writers wrote an episode for Marg and Gary(and Eric), because they were sure they would be on this season. By the time they wrote it, it maybe wasn't sure yet wether George and Jorja would be on it, and if everything with Billy Petersen would be OK.
So maybe, they need to have written something, and they wanted to play it safe.
This is not the first time only two characters do a case.
In Blood Lust it were only Grissom and Sara. Warrick had 2 scenes, Catherine one, and Nick none.

OMG! That is so wierd! About a year ago I had a dream that I was in CSI, and the whole gang apart from Greg, and including me, were down a sewer, investigating a murder, but it was only me Grissom, Cath and Sara I could see. Okay cool. And sorry for rambling.
