CSI: Crime Scene Investigation tonight collected another award, this time from the land down under.
CSI was named the Most Popular Overseas Drama Series at the 2004 Logie Awards, the Australian equivalent of the Emmys. The award was voted for by readers of the Australian TV Week magazine.
Stars <font color=yellow>Jorja Fox</font> (Sara Sidle), <font color=yellow>George Eads</font> (Nick Stokes) and <font color=yellow>Robert David Hall</font> (Al Robbins) appeared in a pre-recorded segment to thank Australian viewers for the award, saying that they were especially touched that the gong was voted for by fans. Jorja Fox joked that the other CSI cast members had gone to bed, but they had stayed up all night receive the award.
Other nominees for the overseas drama award were 24, Alias and ER from the United States and The Bill from the United Kingdom. Friends took home Most Popular Overseas Comedy, with <font color=yellow>Jennifer Aniston</font> named Most Popular Overseas Star.
In Australia, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation airs at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Nine Network, although the show is currently in reruns. CSI: Miami screens at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, with "Death Grip" set to air this week.<center></center>
