'CSI' Returns To Las Vegas To Shoot 'Killer' Scenes

CSI Files

Captain
A few cast members of CSI returned this week to Las Vegas to shoot scenes from the newest episode "Killer."

These included actors William Petersen (Gil Grissom), Paul Guilfoyle (Jim Brass) and Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle), along with the crew. The scenes took place at the Glitter Gulch, one of Las Vegas's strip clubs, and at the Golden Nugget, where they shot a car crash and the arrival and investigation of the CSIs.

CSI hadn't filmed on location in Las Vegas since August. "It's about time we came back to Las Vegas," said producer Louis Milito. "And we will definitely try to get back for the final sweeps episode."

LiveJournal user scullyseviltwin had the chance to go to Las Vegas and see the cast and crew shooting these scenes. She learned the actors look much different in person. "[Jorja Fox] is so much more gorgeous in person. They do NOT do her justice on the show, I swear. Also... who knew Billy smoked? Not me... but he does... but he does it in such a way that he looks like such a schmuck... like he's, as i put it yesterday, trying to be cool 1940's style."

Ah hah. So that's where Jorja was during the awards. Probably still finishing her scenes off. :)

The person who wrote that appears to be a real piece of work, and by that I mean kind of trashy. Sure got a trashy mouth anyway.

You, on the other hand, appear to be an asshole who judges people based on a sentence or two that they've written. Grow up. Also, people are entitled to post their opinions on their own journals. She didn't link it to CSI Files, someone else did that.

^^^ Yeah, so that was totally uncalled for. Attacks on posters is not allowed here, CSINut214. Take it down about 10 notches or you'll be getting a formal warning.

We may not always agree with opinions on here, but we don't insult each other.

To one of our posters? Not that I'm aware of, no.

But that's almost beside the point. The second half of the post was fine and makes solid points; people are allowed to write whatever they want in their own blogs. Undeniably.

Did I agree with Toots comments?
No.
Do I think they were a little harsh?
Yes. You do have a point about that, actually. But unfortunately the choice words that followed sort of overshadowed that for me.

You cannot come on here and insult another poster like that. It's against board rules, plain and simple.

To one of our posters? Not that I'm aware of, no.

Actually, she does have a Talk CSI account.

As to your other points, I do apologize for using profanity in my post. However, I maintain that scullyseviltwin's journal entry should not have been put up in this forum without her permission, pure and simple. Now, not only is she being called trashy in a public forum (a completely unwarranted title - I can attest to that, having met her), but she's receiving dozens of hate e-mails from accounts that are summarily deleted so that she can't even defend herself. It'd be one thing if she were posting all over the internet... but opening her up to that kind of public backlash without her approval should, in my opinion, also be against your board rules.

^^^ I agree. Perhaps the Administrator should be notified about that?

Other Mods? Can we help out here? This is a little beyond my perview...

Well i am not sure how i could help other then to say that if the person is being harassed by people from this board, and may happen to know the nics of them to report them to the admins right away (keep the emails if possible as they contain IP addresses and forward them to the ISP if it comes to that).

While i agree that the swearing was a bit much there has been an apology and now a move forward. But here is the thing, while Christian might not have had her permission, i am not sure he would necessairly need it.

*raises hand* Before people yell, i mean to say that how often do we find sites on the net and post a link to them all the time, usually that is why people have open accounts for others to see and recommend reading, i don't see christian doing any different.

I don't believe his intentions were to cause her harm in any shape or form but rather let others in on the news and recommend her site.
Maybe someone submitted her site for the news, either way a link wouldn't need permission and aside from that he wrote up the story, using quotes from the site (Which again alot of people do when linking to an article with the exception that some might just quote the whole article as written).

The best bet here would be to take this problem from the thread and either one of you talk to either Christian or T'Bonz to maybe get it straightened out. As to the thread it will be up to them in the end.

All that is really being asked is patients and calm, we all understand being upset, and i am not sure how anyone of us would react in this situation, that you all have been put in.

My only suggestion is if she has her email addy on here to hide it, and if its on her site then maybe set up another email addy temporairly, But again keep the emails if possible because even if they delete the accounts ISP's can be traced, depending on the seriousness of the threat to her.

This is the only thing i can think of that might help in someway, i am sorry to hear that people are doing this, hopefully all the chaos will end if its taken from the thread to private.

As to the thread people are going to say what they think or feel, everyone has the right to disagree but here is the thing, as long as energy is wasted (and yeah i mean wasted) on being angry and responding as such, its no good to you, especially when it could be best spent trying to find a solution, let people talk soon the post will fade like the others, but the longer its kept going (with any arguing then it keeps the thread going farther).

I know this is long and again i am sorry to hear about the problems, and i do hope you all and the powers that be on here can find a solution, i have no clue if this helpped but i wish you all the best in getting it figured out.

Yeah, I agree with you Destiny. Completely.
Legalities aside though, I'm just thinking it might help out if we could maybe at least remove the link to the site, and save this person a lot more headaches? I dunno... seems like a lot of people being stupid, so I don't know what else to suggest.

While i agree that the swearing was a bit much there has been an apology and now a move forward. But here is the thing, while Christian might not have had her permission, i am not sure he would necessairly need it.

Blogs are public, so no, he wouldn't have needed permission to quote it. It was done only with the best of intentions--Scully had a great, detailed entry about being on location for a CSI episode, so he wanted to include it on CSI Files.

My philosophy with the internet is one that will probably never be popular, but it's always been to never be rude or make assumptions about another person. Calling someone trashy based on one blog entry is both extreme and unfounded. But the best thing we can do now is probably to get back on topic.

I always enjoy set reports like this. For one, it's fun to get an outsider's perspective about how the show is made, and it's cool to hear what the cast and crew are like in person. Jorja especially sounds cool.
