The final list of nominees for the <I>2008 Primetime Emmy Awards</I> is in. <p>The <I>CSI</I> franchise has three nominations for the upcoming Emmy awards. <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I> received two of the nods. <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/csi/season8/dead_doll.shtml">"Dead Doll"</a>, the premiere of the show's eighth season, was nominated for Outstanding Makeup For A Single-camera Series (non-prosthetic). The episode is up against rival <I>Grey's Anatomy</I> in the category, as well as <I>Mad Men</I>, <I>Pushing Daisies</I> and <I>Tracey Ullman's State Of The Union</I>.<p>The other nomination for <I>CSI</I> is in the Outstanding Sound Editing For A Series category. <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/csi/season8/cockroaches.shtml">"Cockroaches"</a> is up for the award. <I>ER</I>, <I>Lost</I>, <I>Smallville</I> and <I>Supernatural</I> have also been nominated for sound editing.<p><I>CSI: New York</I> received the third nomination for the franchise. <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/newyork/season4/playing_with_matches.shtml">"Playing With Matches"</a>, the final episode penned before the writers strike, is in the Outstanding Stunt Coordination category. "Playing With Matches" is up against <I>New York</I>'s lead-in <I>Criminal Minds</I>, as well as <I>Chuck</I>, <I>NCIS</I> and <I>Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles</I>.
