The cliff-hanger ending of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's "Assume Nothing" ensured that viewers returned for the conclusion.

"All For Our Country" attracted 26.7 million viewers last Thursday, according to figures published at SFGate.com. This was only 0.2 million less than the 26.9 million viewers who tuned into "Assume Nothing".

The second episode of CSI's fourth season achieved a 16.9 national rating / 25 share. These numbers mean that approximately 16.9 percent of American households with television sets were tuned to CSI, and the episode was viewed by 25 percent of households watching television at the time. Again, these figures were down slightly on the 17.2/26 scored by the season premiere.

CSI: Miami ranked eighth on Nielsen Media Research's top twenty list for the week of September 29, up two notches from the previous week. "Dead Zone" had a final rating of 11.6/19, which translated into a viewership of 17.3 million viewers. This represents 99 percent audience retention from the season premiere, which was watched by 17.4 million.

In addition to the two CSIs, CBS had two other programmes in the top ten last week, Survivor: Pearl Islands and Everybody Loves Raymond. Executive producer <font color=yellow>Jerry Bruckheimer</font>'s two other crime dramas, Without a Trace and Cold Case, ranked 15th and 18th, respectively.
