CSI Files
Captain
CSI: New York hits the ground running when Mac Taylor and his team investigate the death of a woman, which leads them two other victims.
CSI Files sources recently revealed details about the first episode of CSI: New York's freshman season, "Blink." In the episode, the CSIs find the body of a woman whom Taylor suspects died of an overdose. Stella Bonasera searches the missing persons database and discovers the woman is listed. Her name is LeAnn Goodman, and the CSIs track her husband Tim down.
Tim is the one who filed the missing persons report for his wife, but he's reluctant to believe Stella and Mac when they tell him his wife's body was found. They show him Polaroid pictures of her body, but he insists it's not his wife. It isn't until Mac takes him to see the body that Tim is finally convinced the woman in the morgue is his wife. Mac studies Tim; he can relate to the man's pain. Tim tells them the last time he saw his wife, they had lunch together, and that she planned to make dinner for them that night.
Aiden and Danny obtain the results of LeAnn's tox screen. It shows she inhaled "fry" sticks--laced cigarettes. Danny notes that fry sticks are the new date rape drug. But Aiden says that LeAnn's body tested negative for signs of sexual assault.
Stella finds a link when she compares the file of another victim with the missing person report of a young woman named Zoya Pavlova. She's a Russian immigrant who lived with a sponsor family. They tell her she was seeing a slick young man, Jason Parnell, whom the CSIs track down with some of Zoya's personal photos. Stella, Mac, and Flack inform him of her death, and ask about one of the pictures of Zoya, which Jason claims he didn't take. Mac takes him into the police station.
A third victim turns up, but unlike the previous two women, she's clinging to life...
Please note that these plot details have not yet been confirmed by Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour from an unofficial source. "Blink" is scheduled to air in September 2004.
