PLEASE HELP! I've been watching re-runs of CSI Miami lately(but have been watching the show since it started, but know I've missed a handful of episodes) and have run into a HUGE confusion on my part.. Years back when CSI Miami first started, Horatio's brother Raymond is murdered while into a drug ring by a meth cook, Season 2, episode 32 entitled "Big Brother". BUT THEN, in season 5, episode 98 entitled "RIO", he discovers his brother Raymond still alive, but soon to perish by hanging by the hands of a Rio de Janeiro drug lord. Also, Yelina is living there, in Rio de Janeiro, when for seasons she's been working at the CSI lab. What's up?!? Did I miss an episode somewhere along the line that finds out Raymond never did initially die? Can someone explain!?

Welcome to the Miami Forum, northpine. :)

To answer your question, it was discovered that Raymond didn't really die. It turns out he was undercover with the Narco unit and faked his death before the events of season one. (Basically his death was mentioned as a development point for Horatio.)

It was discovered near the end of season three that he was still alive and the finale named '10-7' is when we finally saw him where it concluded with Ryamond and Yelina re-uniting in Miami again in which by Horatio's planning they left for Brazil. (Yelina went into retirement)

He finally died in the premier of season five. :)

For future queries, feel free to take a gander around the CSI:Miami - I Have A Question thread where you're more likely to recieve a speedy response.

As a result of linking to that thread and answering the question, I'll lock this thread.
