'CSI: Miami', Dourdan Pick Up Image Award Nominations

<font color=yellow>Gary Dourdan</font>, CSI: Crime Scene Investigations's Warrick Brown, will compete for the Outstanding Actor in a Drama series award at the NAACP Image Awards, while CSI: Miami is in the running for the Outstanding Drama Series trophy.

The awards list for the 35th Annual NAACP Images Awards was released on the NAACP website. Dourdan is nominated for the Outstanding Actor in a Drama series, after winning the Outstanding Supporing Actor trophy last year. Dourdan will be competing with <font color=yellow>Dennis Haysbert</font> of 24, <font color=yellow>Jessie L. Martin</font> of Law & Order, <font color=yellow>Steve Harris</font> of The Practice and <font color=yellow>Wendell Pierce</font> of The Wire for the award. <font color=yellow>Michael Beach</font> from Third Watch claimed the statue last year in this category.

CSI: Miami received an Outstanding Drama series nod, though CSI: Crime Scene Investigations did not. CSI: Miami faces competition from 24, Boston Public, Soul Food and The Wire in the category. Soul Food took home the award last year.

In other awards news, the Producers Guild reports that the producers of CSI: Crime Scene Investigations have been nominated for the Norman Felton Producer of the Year Award. They face competition from the producers of Alias, 24, Six Feet Under, and The West Wing. 24's producers were last year's champs. The Producers Guild Awards will be given out on January 17th.
