Alliance Atlantis Communications announced on Monday that it will receive "lucrative bonus payments" from CBS if CSI: Crime Scene Investigation remains so highly-rated.

The Canadian production company, which co-produces the CSI shows with CBS and Jerry Bruckheimer Films, said that the network has agreed to pick up 100\% of the production costs for the fifth seasons and any following, as long as the series remains in the top 30 ranked shows in the Nielsen ratings during the fourth season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Moreover, Alliance Atlantis said that the company would receive six-figure bonus payments for each episode during the fifth season and beyond, depending on the exact ratings achieved next season.

CSI concluded its third season as the most-watched series on US television, averaging a 16.3 household rating/25 share, a quarter of the total television audience for its time slot.
