CSI: LV - Season 8 Help ?

Lensmeister

Civilian
Hi .... first post here ... I did have a seach and a look but can't see an answer.

Ok ... last night I was playing couch commando with the digitial controller and I saw CSI episode : For Gedda .... pressing the little "i" button I managed to locate the info ... and Gasp ... Shock ... Horror .. it sad that this episdoe was the last in the current series .....

Ok ... dispatching my platoon of crack undercover soldiers (all ten fingers) to the computer it said that 'For Gedda' was episode 17 .....

Two hours later the wife brought me round from my faint and I sat head in hands wondering if this could be true.

Is it ?

Please let this be a false report ... can we really be being deprived of FIVE whole episodes ..... ?

Well as I wait for a reply from you wonderful people that are in the know ... I got back to the couch ... the stress of sufing for the answer is too much and Iwill have to return to Season 1 episode 1 and relive every episode again ......

p.s. ... I am not really mad ... I just type that way !

Welcome to the board, Lensmeister. If you go to the main page of the board, you will see sectiones for each CSI series: one for the Las Vegas gang, one for Miami, and one for NY. In the original (LV) CSI section, there is a thread called For Gedda: Season Finale Discussion.

Anyway, there are fewer episodes this season of most shows because of the writers' strike. But don't worry... They will be back (or at least most of them) about mid to late September.

Sorry ... I guess the troops let me down

Thanks for the answer ......

It's a disgrace .... What will I do ?

Ok .... I know ... I'll watch Holly Gribbs ...........

i think all the shows on all the networks had to shorten their seasons. i think they had to finish by a certain date because of the actors contracts? for some reason las vegas was shortened more than the other two csis, i have no idea why. maybe the others had more episodes prior to the strike?

Yeah, Miami had 13 before the strike and NY had 14, if I remember correctly, while Vegas only had 11 in the can before the strike. Miami and NY ended up with 21 each at the end of the season, but Vegas only got up to 17 with the extra episodes. :)

Peter Lenkov implied that NY might have an extra episode or two next season (in his latest interview with CSI Files), so it's possible the other two will as well (although I wouldn't take that as the truth since we don't know for sure). ;)
