Magic and mystery combine, and the audience gets to put it all together.
As CSI Files previously reported, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is the basis for a new stage show. "CSI: Live" will premiere at Six Flags Magic Mountain this summer. "A lot of fans tune in because they love solving a mystery, and we saw this as an opportunity to let them really be involved in a case," Liz Kalodner, executive VP-general manager of CBS Consumer Products, told Variety.
"CSI: Live" will be set in the Max Spade Magic Show, a fictional Las Vegas act. However, visitors to the stage show shouldn't expect the same blood and gore they see on television each week. "The crime will not be a murder," Kalodner said. "It will be a family-friendly show."
CSI creator Anthony Zuiker was consulted about the content of "CSI: Live", but he isn't listed as a producer of the show. "CSI: Live" will start at Magic Mountain on June 14. After spending the summer in Valencia, plans are in place to send the stage show around the US and Canada through at least 2010.
The original article is from Variety.
