'CSI' Goes To College

CSI Files

Captain
A local college stands in for Western LVU.

Earlier this month, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation filmed on location at the campus of California State University, Northridge (CSUN). The college will represent Western Las Vegas University in the seventh episode of the show's eighth season. Key Set Production Assistant Kenny Hanson said that the episode will be called "Goodbye and Goodnight", but few details were revealed about the plot.

Juliette Goglia was at CSUN to film the episode. The actress is returning as Hannah West, a young genius who was first introduced in "The Unusual Suspect" during CSI's sixth season. One of the scenes that Goglia filmed on the CSUN campus was with Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle). During the scene, Sara shows Hannah a photograph, and Hannah gets upset and begins crying and shouting at her.

In the episode, Sara, Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger), Nick Stokes (George Eads) and Captain Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a college student (played by Holland Roden). The young woman appears to have fallen out of a dormitory window. CSUN's Sierra Tower was filmed as the exterior of the dormitories, but the interior will probably be created at the CBS studios. The production team picked a few extras from the crowd, but most of the people portraying college students in the episode were hired from Los Angeles-based Central Casting. "Goodbye and Goodnight" is scheduled to air in November.

The original article is from The Daily Sundial. Juliette Goglia and Holland Roden's filmographies can be found on IMDb.com.

^^What confuses me is that they say Nick and Catherine are working on the same case as Sara--isn't Sara still on the swing shift??
