BUT, the song might be MAD WORLD by Tears for Fears.

There are a bunch of versions of this song... I currently like the one by Ocean Colour Scene, and the one by The Red Paintings. The Red Paintins one has a strange vocalist, but I like the instruments (cello, violin, etc).
