CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will make its debut on Xbox before the end of the year.
Ubisoft, the producer of the first two CSI computer games, yesterday announced an Xbox CSI title for release in November 2004, according to WorthPlaying.com. The console game will be a combination of the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation game and its sequel, CSI: Dark Motives.
"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation for the Xbox is a first-person adventure game that puts the fate unsolved mysteries into the hands of the console gamer as they examine crime scenes, question witnesses and analyze evidence utilizing the latest in forensic equipment," Ubisoft said in a press release. The game will reportedly feature ten cases for gamers to solve, with "in-depth evidence examination" and "interactive lab functionality". Although not stated in the press release, it is likely the game will include voice acting by all the CSI cast members.
Horatio Caine and the rest of the Miami crime lab will also be getting in on the interactive market, with the first CSI: Miami computer game scheduled to hit stores on November 16 (story). The Miami game will be for the PC, not the Xbox, but is expected to be similar in design to the previous CSI titles.
Online retailer Amazon.com is currently taking pre-orders for the Xbox game for $29.99. The game is currently scheduled to ship on November 9, 2004. The original press release can be found here at WorthPlaying.com.
