CSI was the tent pole of a strong Thursday night lineup, which saw CBS win the overnight ratings for the evening.

"Abra Cadaver" averaged a 14.5/22 rating, according to figures published at Zap2it. This means approximately 14.5\% of American households with television sets were tuned into the show, while the episode was viewed by 22\% of households watching television at the time. These figures come from overnight ratings based on the top markets, and final ratings will be available next week.

Survivor: The Amazon began the night for CBS, winning its 8pm slot with 12.8/20. Then came CSI; it won the 9pm hour, beating NBC's rerun of Will & Grace on 8.7/13 and new episode of Good Morning Miami on 81./12, ABC's The Pulse on 5.0/8, wrestling on UPN and finally JKX: The Jamie Kennedy Experiment" on the WB which came last with 3.2/5. Finishing the night, Without a Trace came first in the 10pm slot with 12.4/20.

Aided by these strong turnouts, CBS came first in the evening with 13.3/21, easily ahead of NBC on 9.0/14, Fox on 5.4/8, ABC on 4.8/8, UPN on 4.6/7 and finally the WB on 2.9/4.
