CSI Files
Captain
Jeffrey Combs provided CSI Files with a bit more information about his upcoming role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation while confirming that he will appear in an upcoming Star Trek: Enterprise episode in his recurring role as the Andorian Shran.
As previously reported, Combs — a legend among horror fans from his role as Herbert West in Re-Animator — guest stars on CSI in the episode "Jackpot", which airs this Thursday night on CBS.
"My character's name is Dr. Dale Sterling," revealed the actor. "I play the town vet/coroner."
Summarizing the episode in a sentence, he joked, "Grissom travels to a small Nevada town to investigate, what else, a murder."
In addition, Combs begins filming tomorrow on the Enterprise episode "Proving Ground" — a surprise, he said, as he had not expected Shran to be a part of the current arc, which finds Enterprise far from local space.
"It's quite a good script, actually," Combs said.
