The first book, Mystery Meatloaf by David Lewman, is scheduled for a January 2012 publishing date.

The Cafeteria Lady from the Black Lagoon did it. ;)

Pre-teen targeted, huh? I guess the "Mystery Meatloaf" probably won't be made from people than. :(

*snaps fingers* Aww, darn...
So are the characters going to be portrayed as middle schoolers? Because that could prove to be quite difficult, not to mention just weird in general.
