The September 27-October 3 issue of the magazine asks if the show is "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation or CSI: 90210?" according to a report at Elyse's CSI Site. The answer seems to be a resounding no. "We were very concerned not to let it go that way," said star and co-executive producer William Petersen (Gil Grissom).
"Anytime something came into the script that you were going to do this with somebody, I was like 'No, once you kiss somebody, or open up something, how are you going to get that closed and continue to be truthful?'"
Asked the inevitable question about the possibility of seeing Grissom and Sara hook up, actress Jorja Fox had this to say: "I think the [Grissom and Sara] romance will continue in some way, but Grissom will do the chasing."
Despite the rumours about further character insight in season four, consulting producer Elizabeth Devine said it's important not to overwhelm the procedural nature of the show. "Every time we delve into the characters' personal lives, a little voice says 'Enough', so, we dole out personal stories in dropperfuls."
The issue also includes an article on CSI: Miami's second season, with comments from star David Caruso (Horatio Caine). To read the full article, pick up the latest issue of Canadian TV Guide. Selected excerpts are available at Elyse's CSI Site.
