Today was nice and eventful! First I got called out to a crime scene with bullets-a-plenty (and just as many casings). I had to work with those in Ballistics for most of the day. It was a lot of work to do in a single day as there were over a hundred (two people had machine guns). It was actually so much work Horatio ordered me to split it up into two days because I “need to be refreshed and ready for anything tomorrow.” He went as far as to say if I wanted to work that much he’d hand the case over to Eric so that I could stay in the lab. I obeyed because Eric had to work with Horatio and Yelina on a floater which I want him to stay on (also because I was with Tim on this one). I enjoy working on cases involving guns (as if it wasn’t noticeable by the previous sketch of a Sig Sauer P226 on the previous page), but this case has a disgusting twist to it. The trajectory suggested somebody shorter than me fired upwards. This would mean it’d be placed in the hands of a 13 or 14 year-old. The victim was 35 and the only apparent motive right now is robbery (we found money missing from his wallet, but the credit cards were there). I tried to flirt with Tim again today, but as usual he wasn’t too responsive, a subtle smile was all I got. I could swear he’s part robot or something of the like. Whatever he is, I’ll win him over one day!
Gotta get some sleep,
Calleigh
