Though its 16.47 million viewers from the fast affiliate ratings represents a drop from the comparable year-ago night, CBS scored with an "Invasion" of prime time, winning the overnight Nielsen ratings as the CSI: Miami episode took the household crown while FOX's My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancé took first place among adults 18-49.
According to Mediaweek's Programming Insider, "Invasion" earned a 15.2 rating/23 share in the overnights. This means that last night, approximately 15.2\% of households in overnight markets were tuned to CBS, and 23\% of households watching television at the time had "Invasion" onscreen.
Despite a variety of competition, CSI: Miami finished in first place for the night. With Everybody Loves Raymond winning its time slot and Yes, Dear, Still Standing and Two and a Half Men all coming in second in theirs, CBS beat FOX by 12 percent.
CSI: Miami's closest competition, the second night of ABC's Super Millionaire finished with an 8.9/13.
