I'm not sure where to post this (it seems like an article that should get at least a reference on the CSIFiles news bullets), but there was an interesting article in the Post on CBS's performance of the year. It discussed, among other things, why CBS shows (like all three CSIs) seem to get less Emmys and how the network is perceived partially as a result of CSI. The article is at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/12/28/AR2008122801876_2.html?hpid=topnews
Thanks for the article happyharper! I've always thought that it was weird that none of the CSIs ever get nominated for anything major, despite being some of the worlds most popular shows.
Thanks for the link, happyharper13 - I'll definitely use it for the next set of news bullets. I was having trouble getting to the start of the article, so I clicked on the print option to see it all. So if anybody else had trouble with it, there you go. Anywho, in order to keep this thread relevant to the forum, let's talk about the article (and perhaps others like it) in terms of the CSI franchise. What's your opinion about the perception of shows like CSI, how they fare come awards time, how they reflect on the network, etc?
