I looked around and I couldn't find a thread for this, so I thought I'd start one. :)

I've just got into poker since watching the World Poker Tour on TV. I play online a little, but not for real money since i'm just a kid, on a site called Pogo. My favourite kind of poker is Texas Hold'em, but I like 5 draw too.

Anyone else here play?

YES! I play poker! :D

My uncle taught me how to play since I was seven, maybe eight years old. We played the original poker ( 5 card draw) or chapeau (don't know the english term but it's with dice instead of cards.)
Now I prefer Texas Hold'em or Omaha Hold'em.

I prefer to play poker in real life. I love the "should I bet or not" - tension between players.
I play with friends about once every two weeks with chips. The buy-in is usually a bottle of liquor :D. The winner(s) can take the bottles home.
We play at school too during lunch, with the 1-, 2- and 5-eurocents. Sometimes I even manage to pay my whole lunch with it ;)

Any other poker players around here?
 
I play for fun with my friends. I'm not that good but once and a while I'll luck out and win a few hands. Lol. I like Texas Hold'em and 5 card draw the best.
 
Yes, but on the video poker machines I love DOULBE-DOUBLE-BONUS POKER, a blast, I got 4 Aces Fri. with $5 bucks and won $45.. not bad, but the tables and that game, NO, poker with friends is fun too! THe Poker tournie is held here downtown.. hard core players, and too rich for my pocketbook :(
 
Was at the WSOP about two years ago. Played a few satellites, but didn't get in.

Don't play too much anymore, so my game is really rusty. Was at the top of my game 3 years ago, though. Actually, I started playing pre-Moneymaker, when the casinos were CLOSING poker rooms across the country, as at the time it wasn't too popular.
 
Wicked, nice to see some poker players here. I'm hopefully getting my first poker set at Christmas, and i'm gonna try and convince my parents to play. If they won't, i'm hoping some of my m8s will. :D
 
My mom watches the World Poker Tour all the time, so I know a lot about Poker from the show. I am too young to play though, unless it is with some friends, but I have never actually played.
