CSI Files
Captain
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's crime lab continues to grow, this time adding Aisha Tyler to its ever-expanding list of prominent guest stars.
According to Yahoo!News, Tyler is going to pull double duty this season: she's signed on for three episodes each of CSI and 24. Tyler will first appear in the third episode of each show.
On CSI, CSI Files sources report that she'll be playing DNA specialist Mia Francisco, a young woman who can more than hold her own in the CSI lab, as she proves in "Harvest" (story). Mia coldly informs Warrick and Greg that she's learned they have a bet going about how long she'll be able to make it at the lab. Greg gets up the nerve to ask her out, but her response isn't the one he was hoping for.
Tyler has been confimed for three episodes of CSI, with the option for three more. On 24, where she's also been confirmed for three episodes with the possibility of appearing in three additional ones, Tyler will play a data analyst at the Los Angeles Counter Terrorism Unit.
Tyler is well-known for her apperance as a palentologist in Friends during that show's ninth and tenth seasons, as well as her job hosting Talk Soup on the E! Entertainment channel. Tyler's most recent role was on Nip/Tuck, where she played a Somali model who was the victim of genetial mutilation.
