CSI Files
Captain
On the Tony Danza Show, Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) revealed how hard it is to sometimes talk in CSI jargon.
"I know what the words are and I struggle to put them together sometimes," he joked. "We have an idea. After doing the show for four years you start to really understand all the jargon and all that stuff."
Though Rodriguez has done his share of television, he revealed he didn't always wanted to be an actor. "I really wanted to play baseball, but and then acting was something I sort of fell into after a couple of injuries made me know that wasn't gonna happen. And then I just knew acting was what it was gonna be."
After the realization came the hundreds of hours of extra work. Rodriguez said he appeared in around 50 movies, and in one in particular, Copland with Harvey Keitel, he came close to hitting it big.
"There's a scene where Michael Rapaport jumps off the bridge, and Harvey Keitel is going, 'oh my God, the kid jumped I don't believe this," he remembered. "So I'm dressed as a uniform cop, I come over and I'm like, 'what happened?' and Harvey Keitel goes on with it. He's going with this for about 4, 5 takes, nobody says anything, so I'm like, 'this is going good, they must like me.' After the fifth time the director says, 'cut, cut. Who's standing next to Harvey?' and I'm going, 'he's gonna say I love what you're doing kid, stick with it,' and he goes 'get the hell out of the way, you're blocking his light!' I was crushed."
