A&E To Replace 'Biography' With 'Miami' Reruns

CSI Files

The cable network A&E announced recently it will stop showing its popular series Biography.

The series, which premiered April 6, 1987, has become the signature show of the network, but starting this August, Biography will not be shown on A&E anymore. Instead, the network will show reruns of CSI: Miami during its Monday night spot.

Originally hosted by Peter Graves, the Biography series focuses each night on the lives of political and historical personages and even showbiz figures. A&E is letting the series go in order to attract a much younger audience.

However, this doesn't mean cancellation for Biogarphy. Instead, the show will be shown on the A&E sib network The Biography Channel.

The original article can be found at Variety. Thanks to Al Forno for the heads up!

Now THAT'S what I like to see. Re-runs of Miami. So I'm assuming they're going to start at season 1. If not, there's no point in attracting an audience.

I think that would be a great idea, that is if they start at the beginning of season 1, because a lot of people want to watch CSI: Miami but don't beacause they have already missed so many episodes. Now they can be one of us! lol
