NCIS has always been great in the way they keep characters around after their deaths. Season 3 had "Kill Ari 1" and "Kill Ari 2", with imaginary-Kate which worked really well, and Season 8 had "Swan Song", In which imaginary-Mike returned to walk Gibbs through the events that lead up to him...
