    "Fearless" Discussion **SPOILERS**

This is how I felt. As someone who really felt I was hearing the show's death knell late last season/through the first half of this season, I am happy with the way things have turned around. I found this to be an interesting case, and was happy we didn't get beaten over the head with Hodges'...

    "Backfire" Discussion **SPOILERS**

Hooray, another case-centred episode! Hubby and I just might be fans again. First off, it was appropriate that they didn't do "the joke" right before the opening credits. Nice change of pace. And yes, there was a personal element with DB and the little girl, but they didn't glop it on the way...

    "Sheltered" Discussion **SPOILERS**

Well, as two people who were sure this series was on its last legs, hubby and I were pleasantly surprised by this episode. No personal goop; it was all about the case. Hooray! Maybe the powers that be are finally listening. That's what CSI is all about; interesting cases, and how the CSIs react...

Season 13 Spoiler Lab Discussion Part 1

Disappearance can mean anything, and Ellie hasn't exactly led the most straitlaced lifestyle. Kinda wish we could stay away from the personal stuff for a while, but I guess that's not gonna happen.

    "Last Woman Standing" Discussion **SPOILERS**

Cutbacks on wardrobe? That's all I can attribute it to. Which is pretty sad, really ... since it's not like these characters have a high-priced wardrobe. As for the episode itself, I found it marginally better than last week, but am getting really sick and tired of all the personal stuff ...

    "Forget Me Not" Discussion **SPOILERS**

Not sure I agree with that entirely, other than I do think Criminal Minds does a vastly better job of balancing out the writing for all the characters. But when CSI was at its best, it did, too. That was one of the things William Petersen fought so hard for, was that the focus be on the team...

    "Forget Me Not" Discussion **SPOILERS**

Man, oh, man. Words cannot describe how bad I felt that episode was. It was like somebody said, "OK, we have to solve this GSR thing once and for all." (Why? I ask. Why is it so hard for Hollywood types to conceive of a normal relationship outside of work, and just leave it at that?) Anyway ...

    "Exile" Discussion **SPOILERS**

Hubby and I finally watched it last night. I must say, that's one of the better episodes this season ... and that's not exactly a ringing endorsement. But the fact that they kept most of the personal crapola out of it (am I the only one who couldn't care less about Hodges' green card bride?) and...

    "In Vino Veritas" Discussion **SPOILERS**

You captured my thoughts exactly. Sadly, I'm just about done with this show.

    "Double Fault" Discussion **SPOILERS**

I'm just going by what I read in this forum, and my understanding is that this was contract re-negotiations for this season. It sounds like several actors had their screen-time cut to a smaller number of episodes: http://talk.csifiles.com/showpost.php?p=1238080&postcount=194

    "Double Fault" Discussion **SPOILERS**

I actually liked Finn better in this one than in many of her previous episodes. Not so much smirking, just acting more natural (well, natural given what we know of her so far). Considering what I'm reading about contract re-negotiations, I guess this is what we get. My biggest problem with most...

    Sara/Grissom Season 13 **SPOILERS**

I think Danson was doing a wonderful job till The Powers That Be decided to bring D.B.'s personal life into the fray; for me, that's when it all fell apart. Didn't they learn anything from the writing debacle with Fishburne (who, again, was fine until they turned him into a know-it-all with a...

    "Risky Business Class" Discussion **SPOILERS**

I agree. It just felt like this old relationship was shoehorned in to remind us, yet again, of Sara and Grissom ... and frankly, I'm just not all that interested in there being angst between the two of them, especially with Grissom seeming to be permanently off-camera. Either bring him back and...

Season 13 Spoiler Lab Discussion Part 1

*sigh* Yet another personal-connection episode? I never thought I'd long for the days when we'd get just the plain, old, ordinary two cases per episode ... but this is getting really tiresome, IMO.

    CSI Award Nominations/Wins Discussion

I'm enjoying "Criminal Minds" a bit more of late, so unfortunately that's where my vote went.

    "Fallen Angels" Discussion **SPOILERS**

My overall feeling (and also hubby's), while watching this episode, was: Is every case this season going to be personalized? When we get a case that doesn't have some sort of soap opera-ish personal connection, I think I'll feel shocked. What was once old is new again ... or something like that...

"It Was a Very Good Year" Discussion **SPOILERS**

Thought this episode was one of the better ones this season ... though, as I mentioned in another thread, I'm really getting tired of the "personal connections to cases" trend in which CSIs should immediately recuse themselves. However, beyond that, I was amazed at the Sinatra sound-/lookalike...

    "Play Dead" Discussion **SPOILERS**

I'm an animal lover, and so I was surprised to find that I didn't love this episode. I think it's because it was written in such an overly sentimental way. I guess I hoped for more of a deft touch, something akin to the older days when it wouldn't have taken over an entire episode.
