I agree - I didn't find him out of character at all. I DID find him jaded, worn out, close to breaking point - he's had a hard hard time and it was showing. IMO, anyway.

Assuming they're both rescued, Eric sort of needs to be in two places. He's the obvious choice to go after Natalia, because of his diving experience, but he's even more obviously the one to put his arms round Horatio. IMO, anyway!

No, I've no idea if David is re-negotiating his contract! Just guessing it's probably up for negotiation with each season. Doubt he took a shot in the arm - he kept hold of his gun. I'll see if I can find that pic - it looks like blood on his hand and on his shirt.

His writing is very distinctive, so his assistant must do a good imitation. Anyway, I think a lot of stars do actually sign their own stuff - I can't 100% prove this, only about 90%! Of course, assistants do the envelopes and things.
